Our Driver
Charging needs an upgrade.
As any EV driver will tell you, they prefer their EV because it has a better driving experience - quieter, faster, lower cost, and more fun. They will also tell you that charging can be a nightmare - broken stations, inconvenient and unsafe locations, and rampant unreliability. Sometimes, the cable is broken or on the ground and unsafe; the screen can't be read, stations cannot connect to the network, and sometimes, the cable doesn't connect to their vehicle properly.

Ineffective Service Models
Reactive service models create an environment where site hosts wait for their chargers to break. At that point, expensive and constrained electricians are asked to solve every problem, no matter how small.
Insufficient Data
These electricians are sent in without any data beyond knowing that the station may be broken. Oftentimes, they show up with the wrong parts and equipment in hand, and they need to schedule a costly return visit after an ill-equipped dispatch.
Ubiquitous EVSE Failures
This creates an environment where more extreme faults and equipment degradation are more likely to occur & compound over time, resulting in a greater risk of station failure.
Charging 1.0
The current state of charging, dubbed Charging 1.0, is insufficient to create the next wave of ubiquitous EV drivers—we are on a slow track to proliferate EVs into the hands of the early majority, beyond just today’s early-adopter zealots willing to put up with the horribly maintained charging infrastructure of 2024.
In some form, we should expect these initial friction points & failures - we are changing the way we fuel our vehicles, which will require a new workforce, innovation, and new models for service. Charging 2.0 requires a new service level, a better set of experiences, and an economical way to solve the problem. Welcome to Ohm.
Charging 2.0
The (h)Ohm of Reliability
Ohm is enabling a new workforce to enable the efficacy and reliability of charging and knowing that you can find a charger that gets you on your way when you need a charge.
This will deliver peace of mind to charging owners and site hosts who care about servicing their tenants, customers, employees, and residents.
We deliver an economically feasible solution for charging manufacturers, creating happier customers who want to buy more stations and a new revenue stream for the OEM, enabling them to offer a resold Ohm platform service subscription.
And finally, for drivers, it will deliver the peace of mind they desire - a charging experience that is predictable and positive, enabling the growth of this marketplace that is currently limited by historic reliability challenges.
Ohm drives 99.4% charger uptime and increases charger utilization by 20%.
